The Arlberg

Austria's largest ski region

Skiing on the Arlberg may be summed up with just one word: legendary! Since the winter season of 2016/2017, the Flexenbahn has enabled unlimited, comfortable and multi-faceted skiing. Without having to take the bus or the car, and without having to take off their skis and put them back on, guests may now hop from one resort in Lech to the next, whether it’s from Lech-Zürs to Warth-Schröcken, to St. Anton, St. Christoph or Stuben, or the other way round. Enjoy winter in Lech with over 300 kilometres of pistes, Austria’s largest, interconnected skiing region and one of the biggest worldwide. No wonder that the Arlberg is synonymous with alpine skiing!

Ski Arlberg moves mountains

The Arlberg is not really a single mountain – it is an interconnected ski region that links the resorts of Lech-Zürs-Warth-Schröcken and St. Anton-St-Christoph-Stuben, which together form “Ski Arlberg”, a one-of-a-kind skiing region. All this was enabled by the recently built Flexenbahn, a 1.8 km-long cable car that has completed the circle between the resorts. Time-consuming changes from one cable car to the next? Not anymore! At Ski Arlberg, it is easy to hop from downhill run to downhill run. An adventure that is bound to leave a lasting impression!

Skiing at its best at the Arlberg

What should you expect in Austria’s largest interconnected ski region? Just over 300 km of expertly groomed pistes that seamlessly connect, making unlimited skiing a reality. In addition, look forward to sun-drenched pistes of all levels of difficulty and skill, for professional carvers, careful beginners and those who’ve taken a break from skiing. The Arlberg is also a great family destination. 200 km of magnificent deep-snow runs make the Arlberg a powder-snow dream destination for off-piste enthusiasts. 85 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars ensure that you can hop from one downhill run to the next without any problem. Have fun!

Legendary round tours in the Arlberg ski regionThe Arlberg is famous for its round tours. There is the legendary “Weißer Ring”, comprising 22 downhill runs and a total of 5,500 vertical metres, the Tannberg round tour (17 km and 3,200 vertical metres), the “Weißer Rausch” (9 km and 1,300 vertical metres), and now also the spectacular new “Run of Fame” round tour, where skiers embark on an extensive journey around the Arlberg, covering 65 km of pistes and 18,000 vertical metres.
